August cultural schedule
We all need a moment of relaxation and distraction, but you are probably already running out of ideas of what else to do. More than 100 days of quarantine must have exhausted most of the proposals and the precautions we must take on the street can reduce the options. So what do you think of seeing a good play, enjoying a concert or going to the movies? How? In this article we will tell you about it.
1. Morir cantando
It is a virtual work of the theater company Los Productores. It is written by César de María and directed by Diego Gargurevich. The play is based on a paranormal experience starring Emanuel Soriano, who plays Andrés, a young man who is called by his grandfather for Zoom. This call would not have anything strange if it were not because the grandfather, played by Alfonso Santistevan, had passed away a few days ago. Far from being scared, Andrés takes advantage of the situation to connect with his grandfather much more than he did in life due to the kind of magic that recent encounters have, which invite you to say everything you didn’t say and do everything you couldn’t. . In the middle of the conversation, Mia, Andrés’s sister played by Macla Yamada, discovers them and joins this reality to build a last memory so that her grandfather continues to live in them.
The work premiered on July 24, can be seen through Zoom by purchasing tickets on the website of Los Productores. It lasts 45 minutes and has a function on Fridays and Saturdays at 08:00 p.m.
2. Cosquín Rock Festival Online
Cosquín Rock is a music festival that began and has been held annually, since 2001, in Argentina and has an average duration of 2 to 3 days. In 2018, this renowned festival arrived in Peru with a concert of three simultaneous stages that presented international bands such as Attaque 77, Residente and Fito Páez; and national bands like We The Lion and La Sarita.
The 2020 edition is adapted to the times of pandemic and offers a two-day online festival with more than 60 artists from all over Latin America playing live on 4 stages simultaneously. Among the bands are Los Pericos, Ciro y Los Persas, Attaque 77, among others.
To attend the event, you can purchase your tickets for one day or a voucher for the two days of the festival through the Teleticket website.
If streaming is not your thing and you need to live the experience of going to the cinema to see a movie, this option is good and safe for you. The Autocinema + inaugurated on July 26 is a Tondero project in partnership with Jockey Plaza and Melvi, located on the Jockey Plaza esplanade, next to YOY Lima Box Park. There will be two drive-ins with capacity for 130 vehicles each. You can attend the Drive-in Movie + seven days a week and it will have two performances from Monday to Friday; On Saturdays and Sundays there will be three functions, at duly planned hours to respect the state of emergency. National and international films will be screened and tickets are purchased through Joinnus.
Little by little, we adapt to the situation, so that we can feel that our routines and social activities return, even in a different version than the one we have known.
